Shipping policy
After you place an order, please allow 1-2 weeks for your artwork to ship. This allows me enough time to gather all the shipping supplies I'll need to ensure your artwork travels safely to you. I ship national orders via UPS and international orders through USPS.
FRAMED ORIGINAL ARTWORK
All original artwork is shipped with the utmost care. I ship pieces all across the world and rarely run into a problem. I choose strong, walnut frames because they handle the shipping process so well. I've yet to have one break on me!
My art is first wrapped in a thin foam to prevent any scratching on the plexiglass or frame. It is then covered in many, many layers of bubble wrap until there's not any wiggle room within the box. Like I mentioned earlier, for both national and international orders I've rarely had an artwork damaged in transit.
If in the unlikely circumstance an artwork is damaged during shipment, I will cover the cost of the damage and arrange to have it fixed at your local framer. If this happens, please send detailed photos of the damaged artwork to info@elisewehle.com
For international orders, I will cover the cost of customs to ensure a speedy delivery.
UNFRAMED ORIGINAL ARTWORK
Your artwork will be packed to ensure it does not bend or is otherwise damaged while on its way to you. I first wrap the art in a sheet of glassine, an archival material that prevents any acid or other damaging substance to penetrate the artwork. I will ship your piece between two sturdy pieces of foamboard that is then wrapped in cardboard. This will prevent the artwork from bending. I have shipped unframed artwork this way all across the world and have rarely run into a problem.
For orders within the United States, artwork will be shipped through UPS. For international orders, artwork will be shipped through USPS. I will pay the customs on any international orders.
PRINTS
Each print is carefully packaged between a sheet of glassine and is shipped flat using a sturdy cardboard mailer along with a sheet of cardboard inside to ensure it does not bend during shipment.
